Hackly
10-27-15
This evening I pass muster
For my inspection
The lawnmower goes by for the final time in the season
Probably sucking up fallen leaves
Hackly, nicked and notched and jagged
Right and ragged
Another demijohn
Another gutta of truncating
Comes not as the casting of stones
Nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets
I go the extra mile to wash my towels and sheets
Hoping to make my bed more secure this time around
Just to say that I did
Of louver and framed openings
For pickled eggs and red beets
The queen of the South will rise up in judgment....
Palatial
10-27-15
By the period between the king's two advents
Ain't nobody going to help you but Jesus
This is why I stand fast
Be my gaslight palatial
A perfect combination ever since the world began
He begins again to teach by the wayside
All for Jesus and not for pride
Gathered unto him a great multitude
Suitable in spaciousness
Ornate, behold a sower went out to sow
If indeed you would like to know
It is given to you to know the mysteries...
"Behold A Sower Went Out To Sow"
10-27-15
Soon time to see who is working for us
For the next few days
O, does it matter she inquires
By the sea and on the land
And music tomorrow morning through my wires
Teaching us many things by parables
O, hearken, O, behold
Another land to darken
It's going to get cold
When the sun was up it was scorched
Because it had no root
It withered away
Some fell on stony ground
Where it had not much earth
And much hath fallen on good ground
Producing fruit one hundred fold
The story never gets old
O, ye hearken and behold
It is given to you to know these mysteries....
