Take No Thought

Take no thought of this evening's shopping trip
Steps already have been ordered
All for sup and sip
and when you know Jesus
You won't need to be afraid of anything
No, not even the dark
And it's not the fear
Because I'd rather go now
Fear not them that kill the body but fear Him
Not to be afraid but to practice reverential trust
By all things by God are made
That returneth unto dust
What I tell you in darkness
You will speak in the light
So that we have dominion over them
Yeah, even our lust
Take no thought....




On Matthew 11:6-30
11-23-15

Today I turn forty-two and a half
Minding not the sacrificed ram, goat nor fatted calf
That you might bring them back to the law of love
Yet they know the pride of life
And the lust of the eyes
The reign of terror and corruption must end
Who deny me, I deny them
For emails yet to send
Think not I am come to send peace on the earth
For I come with a sword
Blessed is he that will be not offended
My yoke is easy and my burden is light
Learn of me for I am meek and lowly
And still we work great provocation...





Son Of Man, Lord Even Of The Sabbath

Give them a drink of water
And ye give it unto me
Feed our son
O, nourish our daughter
As one to close one's eyes to see
Casting the law of love behind our backs
All for photographs pinned up by thumb tacks
Healing on the Sabbath
So we will learn our facts
Jesus speaks in parables at the seaside
And still we resort to our pride
By the wayside the fowls devoured them
Lift a sheep out of the pit
I smoke another soon
And I know I need to quit
If fear is a key
Then I will unlock many doors
And win many wars....
