Egypt's decline

Egypt's Decline
9-17-15

Given the good-natured ridicule
Take in true tranquility in game or contest
Never the same in conquest
For when ye ought to be teachers
Ye have need that one teach you again the first principles
Elementary of oracles and enigmas
Run through the light
Become such as one in need of milk
She will nurse me there
But only water could quench my thirst
Much ado about nothing at all so it was
Theme keys
Covenant and service
How long shall I cry and thou wilt not hear
Spoiling and violence before me
Thank God that he is still on his throne
The burden of Egypt
Behold he rides on a swift cloud....

Faces Sup Up
9-17-15

Faces sup up as east wind
They gather captivity as the sand
All have fallen short and all have sinned
And I think I can say to be one to understand
The burden of Habakkuk
Did see how long will I say and thou wilt not hear
Wait for an answer as the law is slacked
And judgment go not forth
And to my west wall a photograph is tacked
Along with my winning ribbons to my north
Praise God that's all it was
I go back down to the bench
For more than just because
In hopes to meet you there....

Designed
9-17-15

The wicked compass the righteous
Therefore wrong judgment proceeds
I pray for an understanding to serve as the chief of needs
There are good reasons why we have enemies to try us
They are designed righteous
Lead us to God as the wicked mislead to destruction
And we find it's not all that bad
Idols will totter at His presence
And truth is not just a passing fad
As wise counsellors give foolish counsel
How do we say to Pharaoh
I am the Son of ancient kings!
