Covenant Made And Signed

I don't know how I got to where I am today in the Word
Nehemiah just turns up out of nowhere which is somewhere
To many of us as thorns choke our word
Yet some seed falls on good ground
And every kingdom divided is against itself
And because of all of this
We make a sure covenant and write it
I remember a time when I used and abused
And believe me, we still do
To make a sure covenant and write it
Even if it's only a few words
It counts for something....




On Nehemiah 10:17
11-23-15

Giving a stubborn shoulder
It happens as we grow older
As nights grow colder
At seven on the dot
I put in a new garbage bag
Going from one extreme to another
God can take a dirty joke
And soon I'm in need of another fag
I'm just blowing smoke
O, Christ above all angels
Be my longer toke
I'm the craziest character on the block
Ater, Hezzekiah and Azzur sign the covenant
Time will take care of itself
Just leave it alone
What is man that you are mindful of him
We make a sure covenant
And write it because of all of this
Time to hit the sack again
Time to go back in black for the pen.....





Kaphar (Atonement)

Up at three
Just being me
Alongside Anathoth, Hariah and Nobai
I finally got some rest
These joined with their brethren
Their nobles to enter into a curse of the oath
To walk in God's law
All for atonement our Kaphar
The thief in your head
See who's pulling strings
It's been awhile since I could afford chicken wings
Our leaders, our Levites and priests seal it
And I can almost feel it
O, make a sure covenant and hear it
Also we made ordinances for ourselves and broke them.....
